Why Bond?

Bond isn't like other universities

  • A personalized international education experience in beautiful Australia.
  • Graduate with an internationally recognized bachelor's degree in just two years – equivalent to a four-year US undergraduate program.
  • Small, personalized classes – we have the lowest student-to-staff ratio of any leading university in Australia and one of the lowest in the world.

Approved Australian higher education provider for US financial aid

  • Rated #1 university in Australia for student experience 16 years in a row by Good Universities Guide 2006-2022.
  • Meet future colleagues and build a global network – Bond is home to international students from more than 90 countries.
  • Live and study by the beach in Australia’s favourite holiday destination.
  • The Gold Coast is the dream destination of many US students: the perfect combination of surf, sun and sky. However, not everything is beaches – we also have many startups and companies, and an interesting cultural offer. Despite recent growth, the Gold Coast retains its small-town feel and is significantly cheaper to live in compared to other cities like Sydney and Melbourne.

    EXPLORE THE GOLD COAST

  • Bond University has been ranked #1 in Australia for student experience for 17 years in a row, which only proves our commitment to ensuring your time at university is unforgettable. With an array of opportunities available to every student, from sports to associations, exchange and more, you’ll never be short of things to do. Our exceptional student experience translates to the classroom, too, where we have a 10:1 student to teacher ratio that enables supportive relationships with your teachers.

    THE BOND EXPERIENCE

  • Where most undergraduate degrees in the United States can take four years to complete, you’ll gain a bachelor’s qualification from Bond in just two, due to our accelerated, three-semester-per-year timetable. Postgraduate students will benefit from our 92-week professional master’s programs, which combine accelerated studies with a 20-week work experience component designed to give you the right skills to take on the Australian career landscape – and potentially qualify you for a post-study work visa.

I loved the international perspective of study, and student body. It felt like a place entrepreneurs could take up space and challenge themselves. Even though at that time, I didn't realize that's what I was seeking.

After completing studies at Bond. I moved from the Gold Coast to Mexico, to start working with PricewaterhouseCoopers to kick-start this international career. Following some time at PWC in Sydney, I applied for a job with Maersk, the largest multinational shipping line in the world, and in the last 8 years with the company I have lived in four different locations from Oceania to Europe, the Middle East, and now North America based in the New York area. I've grown my finance career with the organization, and am now the Chief Financial Officer for the Maersk terminal, APM Terminals Elizabeth, on the US East Coast.
